ComplianceGuard ("we," "us") operates a deadline reminder service at getcomplianceguard.com. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here conflicts with our Terms of Service, the Terms govern your use of the service.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address and authentication data when you sign up (via Firebase Authentication).
- Deadline data: titles, due dates, and related fields you enter for reminders.
- Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status and customer identifiers from Stripe, not your full card number.
- Email and delivery data: when we send reminder or verification emails through our email provider (Resend), we process your email address and basic delivery metadata.
- Technical data: standard server and security logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use your information
- Provide deadline tracking and reminder emails you request
- Verify your email address and secure your account
- Process subscriptions and communicate about billing
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and support customers
- Comply with law and enforce our terms where necessary
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the product (for example hosting, authentication, email delivery, and payment processing) under their own privacy terms.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage mainly to keep you signed in and to protect authenticated routes. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the marketing site. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we will update this policy. You can clear cookies in your browser, but you may need to sign in again.
Data retention
We keep account and deadline data while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will remove or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for legal, security, or billing purposes.
Your choices
You can update deadlines in your dashboard, unsubscribe from marketing messages using the link in those emails, and manage paid plans through Stripe's customer portal where available.
To request account deletion or ask a privacy question, email support@getcomplianceguard.com. We may need to verify that you control the account before we process a deletion request.
Children
ComplianceGuard is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
